I have a hard time with forcing myself to use body lotion. It’s easily my least favorite part of my routine because I find it really, really boring. I know it only takes a couple of minutes, but it feels like forever, and the lotiony feeling afterwards bothers me a lot more than it does on my face or my hands. So a body lotion has to do more than just moisturize in order for me to get excited about it. It needs to sink in quickly with as little dry-down time as possible, and it should smell amazing. It’ll be a painful chore to use up otherwise. Illi’s Total Aging Care Smoothing Lotion has been decent so far, and has probably come the closest to being a body lotion I maybe sort of enjoy using.
Oh Tony Moly. How you lure me in with your packaging. There are two mango-shaped products from this brand, one being this sunscreen and the other a hand butter. I chose the sunscreen because I’m really bad about applying sunscreen on my hands, and I wanted something fun to carry in my bag that would encourage me to use it regularly.
After my disappointment with the last Asian beauty body wash I tried, I made the decision not to settle for whatever random thing I could find. I’ve been really taking the time to search around for products that interest me, especially when it comes to body care because most of the time I find body care to be horribly boring. Illi is a brand that focuses a lot on body care products, and I’ve heard great things about their Total Aging Care line. The Cream Wash and the Body Lotion from this line were my next picks to try and get excited about taking care of my body skin.
Living in a cold climate does a number on my skin in the winter months. I’ve had bouts of prolonged itchiness along with skin that feels uncomfortably lizard-like. Getting into the habit of frequently using a body moisturizer is something I definitely feel I need. I purchased this lotion from RRS as a companion to a body wash from a similar line (review linked below). Both were quite cheap, so I picked them up despite not seeing reviews for either of them anywhere.
As I said in my first haul post, I picked this up from RRS because I had trouble finding something that I really wanted to buy. I like Nature Republic, and I was super excited at the prospect of smelling delicious peaches in the shower, yet I had not seen nor heard any reviews of this product in particular. This was a gamble purchase, and unfortunately it didn’t really pay off.
